We were really enjoying our stay at Centennial RV Park in Montrose Colorado until some one parked their RV right in front of ours while the rest of the sites in the park were empty.
Centennial RV Park closes October 1. Since we called ahead and made reservations for September 30, they allowed us to make reservations for 7 days even though the campground was officially closing Oct 1. When we got there we decided to extend our stay until October 13. The campground host couple was scheduled to leave somewhere between October 8-10. So when we got to Centennial there were only about a dozen motorhomes there and by October 3 we were down to only 3-4 of us staying there.
On October 10 the campground hosts left along with just about everyone else so there were just 2 sites actively being used in the campground, there were a few RVs left on sites to be moved "later", but no one was using them.
The next day we came back from a half day of sight seeing to find someone new parked directly in front of us, so now instead of a view of the mountains we have a view of their motorhome. Here we are in a campground with 50 plus open sites available and they park right in front of us. Why????? Oh well.....
Wide open campground, pretty much all the sites are empty |
So with all this open space you would think anyone who shows up here would take a space a little farther away. |
